LOT Polish Airlines and the Polish government start the operation #LOTdoDomu. The operation is aimed, in the first place, at supporting the Polish citizens who remain outside the country and, due to considerable distance, are not able to cross Poland’s border by land. Thanks to the support from the Polish government, they will be able to return home by plane.

As of Sunday, March 15, Poland’s borders will be closed to foreigners for a period of 14 days. Additionally, following the decision of the Polish government to suspend international air traffic, which has been caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, all flight connections will also be suspended as of March 15.

In order to help Polish citizens, who are currently abroad, return to the country, the government and LOT Polish Airlines have launched the operation #LOTdoDomu.

Despite the suspension of international air connections, Poland will allow all previously planned charter flights with Polish nationals, as well as with authorized foreigners, that is Polish citizens’ spouses and children, the “Polish Card” holders, permanent or temporary residents, and those with work permits.

As a part of the #LOTdoDomu operation, LOT Polish Airlines will organize special charter flights to various regions of the world in order to take Polish nationals home.

Under the operation, additional series of flights are planned from e.g Great Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Malta, and the United States. Support from LOT Polish Airlines will also apply to those who are currently in countries that have not been listed above. All Polish nationals and authorized foreigners that wish to return to Poland are entitled to register their demand for a flight via LOT Internet platform at: https://LOTdoDomu.com. The tickets may be purchased at www.lot.com. LOT will keep analyzing the scale of demand from a given country, as well as the possibilities of organizing a flight.

For returning to Poland on special flights, organized by LOT, passengers will pay a flat-rate price. This price will depend on the direction where the flight is operated: PLN 400-800 for flights within Europe and PLN 1,600-2,400 for long-haul flights. The remaining costs will be paid by the Polish government.
