In total, since March 15, during the first eight days of Operation #LOTdoDomu almost 29,000 Polish nationals have come back to Poland. Today, LOT special flights are bringing back Poles and eligible foreigners from Bangkok, Chicago, Miami, Dublin, Geneva, Helsinki, Budapest, and Nice, among others. During the first eight days of Operation #LOTdoDomu, 28,706 Polish nationals have come back home onboard LOT Polish Airlines aircrafts. So far, 211 flights have been operated by the Polish national carrier with a total of 44 machines: Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing 737-800, Embraer, and Bombardier Q400.
This Monday starts Day 9 of Operation #LOTdoDomu – in total, 18 flights are planned for today, including from Bangkok, Chicago, Miami, Dubai, Dublin, Geneva, Oslo, Helsinki, Brussels, Budapest, Nice, Edinburgh, Stockholm, Trondheim, and Barcelona.
In the upcoming days, LOT is going to repatriate Polish nationals from destinations such as Dubai, Cancun, Varadero, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Bergen, Dublin, Larnaca, and Brussels (March 24), as well as Bangkok, Chicago, Zanzibar, and Denpasar (March 25). LOT also offers an opportunity to return from completely new, distant locations such as Colombo (Sri Lanka), Male in the Maldives, Sydney (Australia), as well as the Philippines (Cebu and Manila) and Hanoi with a layover in Singapore.
Under Operation #LOTdoDomu, special charter flights are being planned for a few days ahead, based on registered requests from Polish nationals who – due to the distance – are able to come back to the country only by air. In order to provide our passengers with the highest level of convenience and safety, two further carriers Polonus and PKP Intercity have joined Operation #LOTdoDomu. Additional domestic connections have been launched – passengers will be able to travel home from the Warsaw Chopin Airport by bus or rail at no extra cost. Epidemiological safety is a priority. All travelers returning to Poland under Operation #LOTdoDomu have their body temperature checked and are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
