After Athens, Riyadh is the next launched destination planned in the LOT Polish Airlines strategy for 2024-2028. The Polish carrier aims to strength its position in Central and Eastern Europe, discovering this time new potential for the development of tourism and business opportunities in the Arabian Peninsula.
In planning our network of connections, we strive to provide our passengers inspiration to discover the world. We are therefore delighted, that Saudi Arabia has opened up to tourism, the best proof of which is the agreement on direct air connections between the Saudi Arabia and Poland and the facilitation of entry for citizens from the European Union. I believe that Riyadh will be an interesting destination for people who like to explore new, non-obvious places. At the same time, due to increasing economic cooperation and a large number of investments, Saudi Arabia is a prospective market for Polish business – says Michał Fijoł, President of the Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines.
In June this year Saudi Arabia expanded the circle of countries covered by the e-visa system by countries of the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. This has opened up access for Western tourists to the country’s extensive list of attractions. These include UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic cities and ancient cultural heritage, mosques with unique historical values, deserts, and the world’s largest oases, which are up to 6,000 years old. Saudi Arabia is a true land of contrasts. Places, that take visitors back to the days of the former Saudi Kingdom intermingle with modern, futuristic architecture and new technologies, designed in the spirit of sustainability.
Saudi Arabia plans to host up to 100 million tourists by 2030. Travellers are expected to be attracted to the country by large-scale projects such as the futuristic city of Neom, a luxury tourist settlement in a desert, ski slopes and a hotel complex by the Red Sea.
Tickets to Riyadh are now available on lot.com, at LOT Contact Centre, LOT Travel offices and agency sales channels.
