The 4th of June 2024 witnessed the inaugural flight of LOT Polish Airlines to the capital city of Saudi Arabia. Riyadh has become the second city on the Arabian Peninsula in the national carrier’s flight network, after Dubai. The debut flight to Saudi Arabia marks yet another – following Tashkent, Athens and Oradea – new destination in 2024.
The 4th of June witnessed the launch of a new direct flight to Riyadh. With its inimitable combination of extensive cultural heritage, state-of-the-art landmarks, and traditional hospitality, Saudi Arabia is poised to captivate worldwide travellers. Through the Vision 2030 initiative, Saudi Arabia is expanding its tourism sector, while EU, UK and US citizens can now cross borders under an online visa programme, which opens up access for Western tourists to the country’s extensive list of attractions.
Direct flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines connecting Poland and Saudi Arabia will be run three times a week. From Warsaw Chopin Airport, they will be flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 3.20 p.m. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft operated by LOT Polish Airlines will embark on their return journey on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:25 a.m. local time. The flight to Riyadh will take 5 hours and 45 minutes while the return trip 5 hours and 30 minutes.
