LOT Polish Airlines are resuming flights to Athens. LOT Polish Airlines planes will fly to the Greek capital all year round. The national carrier will also open four new holiday destinations from Radom in the 2024 summer season.

LOT Polish Airlines has launched a connection between Warsaw and Athens. The national carrier planes will fly to Athens every day from 11th of April 2024 at 10 a.m. The flight to the Greek capital will take 2 hours and 40 minutes and the return flight will take 2 hours and 35 minutes. The connection from Chopin Airport to the Athens airport will be operated by Embraer 195 as well as Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8. The flights from Athens will also operate seven days a week, with the return flight taking off at 14:25.

The connection to Athens will enable LOT Polish Airlines passengers to visit the heart of Greece all year round. Poles well know the Greek islands, now it is time for the equally charming and rich in history and ancient culture continental part of Hellada. What Greece and LOT have in common is certainly their exceptional hospitality – that is why I invite you all the more aboard our flights said Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines.

With the return of flights to Athens, the ancient cradle of the Olympic Games and modern civilisation, LOT Polish Airlines are making a nod to sports enthusiasts and preparing for next year’s Olympic Games in Paris.

For many years LOT Polish Airlines have been cooperating with the Olympic Committees, as can be seen in the large number of bookings for the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris. With no additional slots available, given the limited capacity of Paris airport, Thursday’s flights will be transferred to Warsaw airport. This will enable us to offer the best connections for passengers, including transit groups, travelling to the Olympic Games, both as fans and as participants, said Filip Biniewicz, head of Group Offering Strategy at LOT Polish Airlines.

Athens is not the only new addition to LOT Polish Airlines route network. In the 2024 summer season, the national carrier will resume flights from Radom to Preveza and Tirana and will launch flights to Podgorica and Ohrid.

Tickets for all LOT Polish Airlines connections are available through the sales channels at lot.com, the LOT Contact Centre and LOT Travel offices.
