Kraków Aviation Summit

An Aviation Summit organised as part of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union was held in Kraków on 29 – 30 May 2025. The aim of the event was to establish a common course that will be followed by EU Member States, European institutions, and the aviation industry in order to ensure sustainable growth, competitiveness, and security of the European aviation sector.

In keeping with the summit’s motto (“Towards safe, clean and competitive European aviation”), its participants discussed such issues as the phasing-in of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), increasing the share of green energy used at airport premises, introducing state-of-the-art technologies, as well as reintroducing and ensuring the safety of flight operations in Ukraine.

LSAS is currently analysing the possibility of expanding its operations to include servicing airline aircraft at airports outside Poland. – This is the result of the high rating and trust that our company enjoys among airlines, and the consistency in providing the highest quality services.

LOT Polish Airlines chooses Airbus. The A220 will form the backbone of its regional fleet

New regional planes will be delivered to LOT Polish Airlines by Airbus. The order, announced on 16 June at the Paris Air Show, is concerned with 40 Airbus A220 aircraft in its ‑100 and ‑300 variants. Under the terms of the deal, the Polish carrier will be able to exercise an option to purchase 44 more planes of the same type.

This truly historic contract (LOT Polish Airlines has no track record of cooperating with Airbus up to date) was signed in the presence of Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland and Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport of the Republic of France.
