AUGUST 2025

Water rescue is much more than just a sport — it is a passion, responsibility and readiness to help others. It is a discipline that integrates strength, speed and determination with concern for safety on the water and fair play values.

In early August, LS Airport Services employees at Warsaw Chopin Airport handled the departure of the Polish Water Rescue Service (WOPR) team travelling to Beijing!

On 7 August in Chengdu, Polish representatives competed in the 12th edition of the World Games 2025. The Polish national team in water rescue sports proved that it belonged to the world’s elite. Our rescuers stood up to the world’s best, winning one gold and two silver medals, as well as breaking both world and Polish records. We are proud that in our job, we can also support true sporting champions!

Feel free to see the photo coverage of servicing the national team.

Take a look at the insightful interview conducted by Money.pl with our company’s management board.

As befits a financial and business portal, we were asked questions about how much money you can make on air freight and about our plans to expand the LS Cargo Terminal at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

Konrad Mirowski, Aleksandra Kalinowska and Marcin Warsicki also shared details about our core business and their thoughts on what comes next for the current infrastructure after the closure of Chopin Airport and the planned transfer of air traffic to Centralny Port Komunikacyjny.

On 24 August, LS Airport Services participated in the Polish Aviation Day celebrations organised by the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków.

The event participants enjoyed numerous attractions, including air shows, simulators, and the official opening of a new permanent exhibition entitled “Downwind and Upwind – Civil Aviation”. The new permanent exhibition dedicated to civil aviation is Poland’s biggest and one of the largest exhibitions on this subject in Europe. It covers an area of more than 3,000 m² and presents the history of Polish civil aviation in a broad, multi-faceted view: from pioneering flight attempts to contemporary achievements in the field of air sports, construction and services. The exhibition is sponsored by Polska Grupa Lotnicza (Polish Aviation Group) and LOT Polish Airlines.

LS Airport Services attended the event as a partner. At our stand, participants could try their luck on the wheel of fortune and take part in an aviation trivia quiz. Our experts were also on hand to explain to visitors what ground handling operations are all about.
